What you need: A way to download mp3s, an mp3 player, a CD burner, blank CDs I've gotten questions before on if I can burn some of these soundtracks for readers or put up the mp3s. As providing mp3s on the SnK site takes up too much space and bandwidth, I've decided not to do that for the regular soundtracks. The same goes for the Character Files: all of these songs can be found on mp3 on any decent mp3 search engine/program, so there's really no need for me to upload them. However, I realize that the sound portions of the Character Files: the quotes, the various sound effects, and others, may prove a problem, since I mixed many of them myself (no, I'm not very good, and I have really crappy sound mixing equipment, but they serve their purpose =P). Therefore, I've decided to provide these clips for you on the site in wav format so that if you want to burn your own Character Files CDs, you can. [Note: I realize that many of the sound files of the characters talking are from the English dub version of GW and I realize that many fans, myself included, prefer the Japanese. However, I don't have equipment to record sound from the original Japanese version, so I had to resort to using what was available online. If I have the chance in the near future, I'll gladly replace these dubbed files with the Japanese originals. Or, if anyone DOES have the equipment and would like to do us a big favor that would be nice too...^_~] These clips are separated into Files #1-4 and #5-7 and are in zip format so you'll need a program like WinZip to view the files inside. There's a text file in each of the zipped files that show what track number each of the files corresponds to. Again, these are not professional quality sound files (some are downright horrid) but I think it's the thought that counts. ^^; To download the mp3s songs and complete your soundtrack, I suggest either Audiogalaxy or WinMx. Both are excellent file sharing programs. Audiogalaxy has a larger selection of rare tracks, while WinMX is good for downloading more popular songs (Audiogalaxy has blocked most of the songs from popular artists). Please DO NOT burn and sell these for profit. All of this music and some of the sound files are copyrighted, and as a fan work, selling anything of SnK for profit is strictly illegal. I provide these sound files for your own entertainment only.
