The Preventers main base in Geneva is the central headquarters and administrative heart of the military organization. While there are specialized bases throughout the world and also stations on the moon and some of the colonies, the Headquarters is the place from which all orders and information ultimately come. The base was built in January of AC 196, with construction authorized by the new World Nation government and recognized as the official World Nation military headquarters in July 196. Unlike most other Preventer bases, it is not named, with its only formal designation being "Preventers Headquarters."

Built in the design of a general military base, the Headquarters is not specialized in any way but has a little of everything, reflecting its nature as the command post. Its layout is simple and geometric and most buildings (with the exception of the hangars and warehouses) are constructed out of white or pink granite. The landscaping, streets, and grounds are well kept by Services. The Headquarters is slightly smaller than a normal base, but designed so that information flows smoothly from one section to another.

What follows is a general guideline to the labeling on the map. The map is a generalized one only, with smaller streets and buildings not shown.

BX: Base Exchange. All-purpose store for military members. Think of it as a Wal-Mart or a K-Mart.

Check-in/Visitors' Center: All visitors (such as Catherine Bloom) without proper military identification are told to report to these buildings in order to be authorized for base access.

Flightline: Multiple landing pads for mobile suits and aircraft. This is where Noin would have spent most of her time. The northern part of the base is where all the air activity takes place, grouped as to not disturb the southern, more personnel-oriented half. Notice the hangars (4 of them) as well as the control towers and maintenance and supply/transportation buildings. Deathscythe Hell and Wing Zero are stored in the leftmost hangar upon their arrival on base.

Intelligence/Covert Operations: General Brown's domain

Main Building: Une, Sally, Milliard, and Brown all have their main offices in here, as do Li and Gils-Reve. The Main Building is a tall tower-like structure with many floors. All administrative type work takes place in here as well. The three small buildings next to the Main Building are the headquarters of Operations, Support, and Logistics. The staff of the respective groups work here. Noin would have had her office in the Operations building (however, how much time she would have spent in there is unknown, since she'd be much more comfortable out on the flightline).

Medical Block: A complete block of medical facilities from pediatrics to intensive care to research.

Personnel: Where military members are processed for tour of duty, leave, and change of station. Also takes care of things such as transfer from squadron to squadron. Under Sally Po's command.

Special Forces: Also under Brown's command. Machida Varis works here.

VIP landing pad: Where Duo and the Cliffside gang arrive, as well as Wufei, Heero and Darkflight. Well out of the way of prying eyes.

VOQ: Visiting Officers' Quarters. Where the pilots and their friends stay when they arrive on base.
