Just like every movie has a soundtrack, just like every anime has a soundtrack, Sainan no Kekka also has a soundtrack. We as authors believe that the reading experience can be enhanced with the right music, just as the film experience can be enhanced with music. Much of Sainan no Kekka would not have been thought of if not for the creative power that music seems to have in stimulating the brain.

So the SnK soundtrack, in effect, is a compilation of the songs that we feel most match each character's respective part in tone and message. These are the songs that would be ideal for you to pop into your CD player or add to your winamp playlist before you start reading that particular scene.
