Hmmmmmmmmmmm.
What to put down that hasn't already been said no da? Let me see....
Where to get ideas for fics
Let your mind wander, no da! That is what imagination is for! Even if you don't get any stories from it, at least you will be entertained. But please, keep that silly grin off your face as you wander or else you will scare people na no da! They have institutionalized people for less no da!
Beginning a fic (plot outlines, research, etc.)
Ah! The hardest part is that first sentence no da! All I can say is..put something, anything down no da. You can always come back and change it later. The first thing is to begin.
"Cures" for writer's block
I have to agree with Tasuki. If you are stuck, let it go for now, or try to work on another chapter. Maybe even the ending! You can go back and fill it in later. Sort of like that first sentence no da.
Resources and other helpful hints
Reading such things as what we're putting down now na no da! And the library has books about ancient China and Japanese cultures. Not only will that help round out a story and make it more believable, it will also educate you no da. (Quit making that face Tasuki-san. I saw that! 'Education' is NOT a bad word no da!) And also I agree once more with Tasuki, don't use a word unless you know precisely what it means no da! Also access other FY sites and learn what you can about the series and the characters. You have to make us believable too no da!
Miscellaneous Tips
Oh, just have fun no da! Remember that's why we write in the first place. That and we don't want the series to end. Of course I don't else I'd be out of a job na no da!
