Fanfiction 101: Hotohori's Advice

Where to get ideas for fics Hmmm...where to get ideas is a good question. I usually get ideas from life experiences, or from watching or looking at something. A good life experience should help, either that, or from friends. Beginning a fic (plot outlines, research, etc.) To begin a fan fic is a bit hard, but if you know what you want to write, it is really easy. It usually is for me, because I have everything planned out. Make a small web, or plan it out. It may take a while, but then writing the fan fic will be a breeze. "Cures" for writer's block Writer's Block is just a bit of laziness. It shouldn't happen if you plan everything out. If you don't, and run fresh out of ideas, then thats how it happens...or to my belief it is. My advisors agree with this. Resources and other helpful hints For background on the characters, I suggest going to Anipike or  Anime Pitstop. For background on Ancient China, try going to Altavista or Yahoo. Miscellaneous Tips I have advice. Make characters more life like, and not invincible. It makes fan fiction boring. Also, more Hotohori fan fics would be nice. ^_^ *looks in the mirror again and does different poses*
