Bright Child
Author: Night~mare
Email: night_mare_chan@yahoo.com
Warnings: Mild spoilers for the entire series
Type: Fluffy bunny and short! Betcha you didn't think I could write a shortie. ^_~

Tasuki's Review Tasuki:

..... Ok, this was good. I want the whole damn f%^&*@ journal! Chiriko! When did you start this one? I thought I'd found and read your...... *SWEATDROP* Eehhhhh...heh....heh....>.>;;

Where was I? Damn, this was...cute and meaningful. It had only three typoes, like "workd" when she meant "world". And it made me realize...sh*^....I never found love either!

*goes to sob on Tamahome's shoulder*

Chichiri's Review Chichiri:

Yes, this -was- cute no da. And in just the manner Chiriko would write it too. (Ano....I too got the feeling I was reading part of Chiriko's personal journal! Hey Tasuki, do you know where he hides it? You're the bandit no da. Find it!)

There was only a couple of typos I noticed, such as lack of spacing between two words, but hey. It didn't deviate from the whole story.

5 kasas once again for Night-mare. Hmmm, I wonder what her score is up to now no da!

Mitsukake's Review Mitsukake:

*shakes head, laughing quietly* Night~Mare, you are GOOD. I almost couldn't finish this because I kept getting the unsettling feeling that this really was part of Chiriko's personal journal! (And, unlike some of my brother seishi, I try not to invade other people's privacy if I can help it. Shame on you, guys! *snrk*)

Chichiri mentions typos, so I guess they must be there...but I got so caught up that I missed them entirely. Even when I went back and purposely looked for the errors, my brain got distracted by the story-and that does NOT happen often. I give this story as many kasas as our rating scale will accomodate. ^_^

Ano, Tasuki-san? For someone who claims not to be a yaoi fan, you don't seem to realize how much bait you're setting out for the fangirls over there. *MASSIVE SWEATDROP* This could get scary. @__@

Tamahome's Review Tamahome:

Ahh! No tissues required! Night~mare, what *are* you thinking of?

Seriously, though...

This one is... quiet. Quiet reflection, quiet examination. It's more about the older Shichiseishi than Chiriko, I think. And it raises more questions than it answers.

I think this is more of a beginning than anything else. And it raises a lot of questions. Last I heard, Hotohori/Andy was too busy rocking up the charts to look for Houki - how/when did he find her? Did Pedro/Mitsukake *have* a sweetheart? And, while my little sister is obviously Yuiren, where is Gyoukouran? *She* was two years younger than Chiriko in Kounan, so it's more logical that it be Gyoukouran whom he meets...

I hope that this shortfic gets expanded into a longer fic, containing the answers. Or is the prequel to one I don't know about yet.

Nuriko's Review Nuriko:

This was sweet, and left me smiling when I read it. It sounds like something Chiriko would write, and I'd love to see more along these lines. (What DOES happen with him and Yuiren?)

There's not much I can say that hasn't already been stated. There were a few typoes, but nothing truly hideous, and the story itself was very well written.

4 kasas!

Chiriko's Review Chiriko:

NIGHT~MARE!!! HOW DID YOU GET HOLD OF MY JOURNAL? AND HOW DARE YOU PUBLISH IT? A JOURNAL IS SUPPOSE TO BE PRIVATE!

*fumes*

How am I suppose to review my own writing? ^_~

Ok, got that off my chest.

I can't find any nits to pick save that Houki wasn't reincarnated- I don't believe. Also, I have a problem with the formatting. Try adding a break between each paragraph if you post it as text- it'll be easier to read.

Anyway, it's a cute piece. Remember what I said about taking a step off into the unknown? Well, this is it- I dare you to expand on this piece, perhaps create either a series of journal entries, or maybe write a Yuiren/Duke romance.
