Butterfly's Sleep
*Smiles, tapping one finger against his chin as he sets down the fic* I liked this... a LOT. The way the Seiryuu seishi were given a second chance... and the fact that they all seemed better for it in their own way. This is one of the few fics that has actually ever gotten me to shed tears throughout parts of it.
I didn't care too much for the ending, however. It just seemed like there was something missing. Yui got to interact with the other seishi, to learn about them. This was the moment that it had been building up to the entire story, and it was over within a single paragraph. I would have definately liked to have seen a bit more into the reunion with Suboshi. After all... that was the culminating point, ne?
Any fic that sheds new light on the Seiryuu Seishi is good in my book. They are so often represented badly or not at all, that it's refreshing to see a new take on things. While some others may say that the Seiryuu got just what they deserved, I definitely think that they deserved a second chance such as this one.
I really liked this one. It's not often you find a fic that focuses on the Seiryuu Seishi, let alone portrays them in a good light. This fic pulled me in and held me until the last word. Overall, I have to say thisis one of the better fics I've read...though the ending was somewhat...anticlimatic. I would have liked to see more about Yui's reunion with Suboshi, but really, that's my only complaint about the entire thing. I think I would like to read more by this author. Good work! *gives the fic the Royal Seal of Approval*
O_O #$&%$# Impressive is all I can say. The plot and writing were all incredibly done. The author wrote with knowledge of their subject, and that's always great to see. And, it was great to see Yui portrayed as a person, not just an antagonist.
The depth put into each character (even the minor ones) was extensive and very believable, even likeable. Though I have to agree with Nuriko that a bit more with Suboshi in the end would have a better feel to it. And I'm not a fan of romance!
I thought I'd be bored when I first started, considering it was one of the longer ones, but I found myself grinning, and leaning over the keyboard with my cheek in hand. I still don't like that blonde-megalomaniac-'I'll ki blast you into next $%^(*& Thursday'-golden boy. Go A@#%$are! *waves flags*
I'd really like to see more work from this author!
Wonderful no da. That's all that can be said about this fic. I had tears in my eyes and I was applauding after I read the final line as if I had been watching a fantastic play. To think even the Seiryuu deserves a second chance just feels right. It is VERY well written and it has such a satisfying ending. I love it!
5 kasas no da!
