Suzaku Seishi Fan Fiction Review: The Race Chap1-4

Warnings: Spoilers for basically the whole series, and (slight) spoilers for the plot of Labyrinth, as well, although its more like what we Listians term a Visitation, and doesn't have much to do with the actual movie at all.
Type: This is a definite self-insertion. This is also a crossover with the movie, Labyrinth. This is also rather wierd. ^_^;

*Blinks, staring at the page* Oh my... there has to be more of this, there just HAS to! *Digs frantically through the papers, then sighs dejectedly.*
I know we were only supposed to review chapters 1 - 4, but I couldn't stop myself! I had to read it through to chapter 7 and now I'm going NUTS because there's no more to read. *Looks up then, smiling* This is a good thing, really.
It means that the story captured me and refused to let go. I LOVE that! Original storyline, excellent character description, and no errors spelling or grammar-wise that I could find.
I just have one question... if all of the seishi were brought there, where is Amiboshi? If Stormlight (In the story) has seen all of it, wouldn't she know that Amiboshi was still alive? That just confused me.
I loved the characterization of everyone in this fic. I'm not normally a big fan of self-inclusion, and it ALMOST turned me off from reading past the first chapter... but I'm VERY glad I did.

*laughing* "Girls have cooties"...buahaha...REAL mature, Tasuki...heh. *cough* Anyway, FINISH THIS STORY NOW! I can't believe I'm this crazy to read the rest of a self-inclusion, crossover, epic, almost-romance fanfic, but there you have it. (Must be one of the Signs of the Apocalypse, right up there with Tasuki liking girls, Nuriko dressing like a man, and Nakago singing nursery rhymes. @_@)All it needs to be even more amazing is to have a songfic segment in there somewhere. If THAT is pulled off well, I'll...well, I'll just go into shock for a while. ^^;;
I've never seen Labyrinth, but I'm almost considering it now. *hides* Plus, I read another fic where we were actually CAST as these people, and now with this I'm plenty curious to see the original cast in action. (Just in case anyone's curious, I think Nakago himself was cast as the Goblin King...and it seems to match, now that I've read this. O____O)

I too had to continue reading past the fourth chapter no da, it was that enjoyable!
I admit when I saw the dreaded words 'self-inclusion' I gave a mental cringe, but this was done so smoothly all one could was chuckle and continue reading. All were so IC, even Jareth! (and I suppose even Stormlight?)
Heh heh, careful Chiriko, the Goblin King has his eye on you no da!! I do hope she puts in Sir Whatever-the-heck-the-name-of-that-dog-knight-I-can-NEVER-remember-no-da!!! in.
There were a few mispelled words and a few rough spots, but not enough to affect the whole pleasure of this fic.
I give it 5 kasas and please get back to writing, Stormlight!!!

Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah. I read past the chapter 4 thing too. *grins sheepishly* At first it seemed to drag, but then it started to pick up. I noticed a few typos and things, but it wasn't too bad. One thing that might be good is to explain what a 'Listan' is. After a while I figured it was a fanwriter?
It was a good story, but it seems like it barely got started for all the writing. *scratches his cheek* I KNOW! Too much talking! Ehhh...not that it was bad talking, but there just wasn't enough action.
At any rate, it's a great, fun start, and I sure hope there's more!

I love this fic. I loved it the first time I started reading it, and I eagerly await the next part. I usually can't stand to read self-insertions, but this is an exception. Besides, who can resist when you have such good taste in seishi? ^_~ Anyhow, I want more! Please finish it soon, Stormlight-san! *gives her a pleading look*

I was so impressed. I admit I was procrastinating on this (SI's usually drive this Chiriko through the roof), but I was SO into it once I looked beyond that. I've read up to chapter 15....
My only complaint is the Amiboshi thing as well- it bothered me.
I like how Yui was handled, and, as Usual, it's written with Stormlight's smooth, interesting writing. Labyrinth is an awesome movie.....
4.5 kasas! (it'll go up to five if it gets FINISHED!)
