Unlikely Couple
Author: Laree McKenzie

Warnings: I don't think there's any... [Moonsong: SHOUNEN-AI]
Type: Yaoi-ish fic. HotohorixTasuki. Nothing explicit tho. No wild sex scenes or anything. I think I'm the only person so far who was stupid enough to try this pairing but...well, I thought that since Hotohori was drawn to outgoing people like Miaka, why not Tasuki? Anyways, be kind!

Tamahome's Review Tamahome:

This was interesting. A very unlikely couple indeed, but Laree makes it work all within canon, very believably and in keeping with the characters.

I always have problems with Laree's pages loading, for some reason... if it's not the background taking forever, it's a slow link. However, the writing style of her fics makes up for it.

I really don't like this pairing (I *like* Empress Houki) but I quite enjoyed the fic, mostly due to the writing style. There were a few minor typos (spelling, mostly) but nothing major.

I would have liked to see more of Chichiri's thoughts on the subject, though. There was no internal dialogue on his side and very little to distinguish him in the fic. He could have been easily replaced by Kouji or another character.

Overall, a good fic. Bravo, Laree!

Tasuki's Review Tasuki:

Hmm...different...couldn't read the whole thin', gomen. Um, I'll leave this to the others, it's a bit too mushy... *sidesteps away from Hotohori*

Hotohori's Review Hotohori:

...I tried, but I can't get through this. ^^ Had part one read, and got a bit into part two. *blinks at Tasuki and heads back to his study to work before the advisors come chasing after him*

Chichiri's Review Chichiri:

Well, this certainly Is a different pairing no da. The whole thing was rather touching in its way, with good smooth writing even though there were some rough spots.

(I don't care for yaoi fics much myself but this was one of the more tender and tolerable ones)

On the whole, I give it three kasas no da.
