Where Is Love? A Nuriko Songfic
Author: Stormlight
Email: Riverfell_Den@hotmail.com
Warnings: Spoilers up through the episode where they depart Konan to search for the Shinzaho (sp?)
Type: Eh...an alternate reality (I think?). Inspired by the DUBBED version of episode 32 (Yes, 32. NOT 33 ^_~), where Nuriko and Tamahome are having a heart-to-heart about Miaka, only the story actually takes place before that episode. Just a little what-if story, I guess. Eh...some WAFF, a little angst. I'd say PG is safe enough to rate it.

Chichiri:
Well, first I have an admission to make no da. When I saw the word 'songfic' in this fic description I thot it would be a very quick thing to zip thru. After all, there isn't much to review in a songfic no da. Scan it, think a moment, and write. Ta da no da! Another review done!
How wrong I was no da. And I am glad to be wrong too!
This is wonderful, simply wonderful no da. This piece is emotional, compelling and enjoyable to read. One can feel such empathy for Nuriko without having to know the entire series no da.
This is a subject which could have very easily been over-written, but Stormlight does a very good job of telling us how Nuriko feels without going overboard.
Very well done no da. I give this fic 5 kasas no da!

Tasuki:
Hm.... *scrutinizes the fic* Ehh, another mushy one. And a songfic at that. But it managed to survive the songfic problem! Though I found it mushy and slow, and Nuriko's point of view to boot, it wasn't bad at all. The first line made me think it was a snoozer, I must admit, as often the first line sets the pace of the story.
I think this fic captured Gayboy pretty well, without making me want to puke. Good flow, from beginning to end, it lacked in nothing but maybe a little action. *snickers* Nice snuggly fic, great word usage too!
If 'Chiri gives it 5 kasas, I'd have to give it 4, well, because it was missing what I love most. People kicking the @&*( outta each other! *gets wild glint in his eye* Mwahaha....

Nuriko:
*Narrows his eyes, rolling up one sleeve and moving to knock Tasuki through the nearest wall.*
Well, *I* liked it. I have to admit, when I saw that it was a songfic about me, I was almost afraid of another death sequence. I was pleasantly surprised, and found myself absorbed in the story quickly. It was a very touching piece, and the song meshed well with it, instead of overpowering it as happens so often with songfics. Yes, it was mushy, but even I enjoy a sugar-fic every once in a while. I'm going to have to read this one again.
I have to agree with Chichiri on this one... 5 kasas, no da! *Grin*

Hotohori:
*watches Nuriko punch Tasuki into the wall and winces at the indention left there*
That will cost a bit to fix...
*looks back down at the fic in his hands* This was a lovely story, Stormlight-san! It flowed along beautifully and it kept my attention the whole time. Finally, someone else who understands what a songfic should be like! *smiles* Moonsong knows what that means, I'm sure.
Your portrayal of Nuriko was excellent, and the hints of wistfulness that peeked through made it even more believeable. I'm not lying when I say you are one of my favorite authors. *sparkles a bit* I've read fics by you in several fandoms, and they are all quite excellent. Keep up this great work! I look forward to reading more by you.
Oh yes, the spelling for Taiitsukun's mountain from the anime is Taikyoku, I believe. It's the way I've always seen it spelled.
